I’m all for calling out hypocrisy and racism by these “whites only” Asian American females, but the other elephant in the room is this: where did they learn this behavior? This type of behavior is learned from a system infected with white supremacy. I think it’s helpful to call out these women when they exhibit that behavior, but then we should point the real ire and effort towards stopping racism against Asian males and white supremacy and the systems that perpetuate it like media and politics, systems still overwhelmingly controlled by white heterosexual men. Harassing private individuals or sending hate mail to Asian American women should never be the solution (I’m not saying this article calls for that, but this issue has been called out before). They’re just offshoots of the problem, it doesn’t get to the root of the issue.
